In upholding the above commitment, Boon Siew Honda shall, vide the establishment of Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy –
- Prohibit all forms of corrupted practices by any individual employee, agent or other parties acting on our behalf in hope of gaining a business advantage, or to reward a business advantage that was received to other parties;
- Comply with and adhere to the provision of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 (Act 694) and other applicable laws and regulations, rules, policies and procedures;
- Promote an appropriate anti-bribery culture and continual improvement in and out of our organization;
- Uphold the values of transparency and provide whistleblowing channels to encourage reporting on any bribery and corruption practices in good faith;
- Impose appropriate actions against any violation to this policy in accordance with applicable laws and the Company’s policies & procedures.
The effect of bribery and corruption is far beyond affecting the perpetrator solely, but it affects the corporation and the economy at large in the long run. As part of our commitment to ethical business practices, we will not tolerate any act of bribery and corruption, and we expect all our stakeholders and business partners to share the same commitment so to uphold our values and high ethical standards. The prevention, detection and reporting of bribery and other forms of corruption is the responsibility of all who work for us, work with us, and work alongside with us.
Boon Siew Honda has establish a Business Ethics Proposal Line channel (BEPL) in enabling the public to provide relevant information in relation to the occurrence of improper ethical issues and corruption revolving Boon Siew Honda. Publics are encouraged to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of malpractice at the earliest possible stage by submitting relevant information by way of email at beplbsh@bswhonda.com.my. All information received thereto shall be treated with strict confidentiality so to protect the whistle-blower from any risks of reprisals or retribution.
