Penang, 3rd January 2023 – Boon Siew Honda has launched the New Honda Wave Alpha with fuel injection engine that is EURO4-compliant along with a refreshed appearance. Since its introduction in 2015, the Honda Wave Alpha has been the best companion to many Malaysian riders because of its blend of style, quality and great value for money.


Highlights of the new Honda Wave Alpha include:


  • New EURO4-compliant 110cc engine, now with Fuel Injection Technology
  • New body design of Sports Accent for slimmer and more dynamic appearance

  • Larger fuel tank capacity for extra mileage with a single fill

The Honda Wave Alpha has always enthused Malaysians with its sporty look, durability, and cost-savvy offerings. The 2023 model is powered by a smooth and refined 110cc engine that is EURO4 compliant and now comes with Fuel Injection Technology.


For the 2023 model, the engine produces 6.49kW of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.67Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The efficiency in fuel consumption is the main added value of the engine upgrade as the Wave Alpha can go to 70.9km/l from the fuel consumption measurement mode (WMTC), making it a top performer in terms of fuel consumption in its class. The fuel efficiency sees an upgrade of 12.3km/l from the previous model back in 2019, which is now one of the most efficient combustion engines in its category.


The rejuvenated styling concept is led by a sporty design which gives a much more slim and dynamic appearance that will excite young adult riders looking for an affordable go-to daily commuting option that is also stylish on the road.


The motorcycle’s new taillight design gives the bike a sporty presence when viewed from the rear, grabbing attention of vehicles behind when operating the rear brake. The Honda Wave Alpha’s new speedometer displays the necessary information and now comes with FI indicator.


The Wave Alpha’s upgraded 4.1L fuel tank capacity makes it more convenient for riders to go about their daily commuting with more added reserve fuel in store. The under-seat storage is now 7.3L which is twice larger as the previous model, providing added storage for riders to pack their important belongings together.


The Honda Wave Alpha will be available in colours namely Vivacity Red, Pearl Nightfall Blue, and Clipper Yellow.
