Boon Siew Honda Welcomes New Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Penang, 3rd January 2022 – Boon Siew Honda today welcomes Mr. Mitsuharu Funase as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, who succeeded Mr. Yoshitaka Nakamura who was assigned to be the Chief Executive Officer at Honda Motorcycle Kenya Limited.

Mr. Funase officially assumed office from 1st January 2022. He was previously the Manager of Product Strategy Department, Business Planning Division of Motorcycle Operations Headquarters at Honda Motor Co., Ltd. in Japan and has extensive experience in ASEAN motorcycle business through his past assignments in Thailand and Indonesia. Mr. Funase brought with him a vast knowledge in motorcycle business planning which will continue to enhance Honda’s product line up going forward.

“2021 was a year full of challenges but I am pleased to mention, despite all the challenges, Boon Siew Honda achieved a creditable production number and sales” said Funase in his speech to all associates on his first day in office.
