Summary
We were invited as a contributor to the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia region (ASEAN NCAP), organised by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS). Additionally, we sponsored two Honda Beat motorcycles to be used as part of MIROS’ research project about rider behaviour.

The motorcycles were also used as a target vehicle to assess the effectiveness of blind spot technology, based on the ASEAN NCAP assessment protocol for 2017-2020 under the Safety Assist Technologies assessment pillar. The aim of the program was to pre-alert riders prior to a crash in order to reduce the fatality rates of motorcycle accidents.
