Program Bantuan Prihatin Covid-19

Penang, 3rd September 2021 – Boon Siew Honda in collaboration with its Honda Exclusive Shop Impian X in Penang, have stepped in to support the community by means of extending essentials to a total of 210 customers and 21 charitable homes.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused disruption to many now facing a loss of income. Through this initiative, Boon Siew Honda together with Honda Impian X dealers have reached out to customers and families in need, to ease their burden during this trying times.

Basic food supplies such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, as well as groceries vouchers and petrol gift cards were handed out to individuals while a total of 21 charity homes* in Penang have also benefited from groceries and food vouchers.

A combined total of approximately RM 56,000 worth of aid were distributed in this initiative.

“It has been more than a year that we are battling the pandemic and many people have used up their reserves and savings, we hope this initiative will alleviate some burden from the families that are severely affected by the lockdown” said Mr. Yoshitaka Nakamura, Boon Siew Honda’s Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer.

“The prolonged lockdown caused by the pandemic makes it more challenging for many families to earn a living. By partnering with our network of Honda Impian X dealers here in Penang, we want to extend a helping hand to those within their communities.” added Mr. Voon Yin Kong, Boon Siew Honda’s Chief Sales & Marketing Officer.

The aid distribution was held on 25th August at 7 dealer shops, namely Chang Motor Sdn. Bhd., Jimat Motor Sdn. Bhd., KB Soon Huat Motor Sdn. Bhd., NI Motor Sdn. Bhd., Sing Huat Motors Sdn. Bhd., Soon Lee Jaya Motor (Sg Dua) Sdn. Bhd., and Taycon Motor Sdn. Bhd.

Present at Jimat Motor Sdn. Bhd. were, Mr. Yoshitaka Nakamura, Boon Siew Honda’s Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Mr Voon Yin Kong, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Mr. Andy Kiong, Senior Manager of National Sales Department and Mr. Steven Chin, Senior Manager of Marketing Department.

The initiative was conducted under strict adherence to the standard operating procedures (SOP), including physical distancing and wearing of facemask to ensure the safety for everyone.
