Position Summary:

Lead a team that manage overall Internal and external stakeholder communication that impacts employee engagement and Company image respectively. Responsible for the full spectrum of legal and compliance function to achieve strategic business goals.


Corporate Communications & Stakeholders Engagement

  • Shaping and delivering positive corporate brand.
  •  Maintain good relationship with all corporate stakeholder both internal and external.
  • Develop communication material for internal public relations.
  • To formulate internal communications strategies.
  • Support development of corporate affairs collateral including internal & external materials.
  •  Manage and execute all corporate and social events efficiently and effectively.
  • Formulate and plan effective strategies for CSR initiatives to enhance business sustainability.


Legal, Intellectual Property & Corporate Governance

  • To provide in-house legal services in the form of providing legal advisory services in commercial and administrative functions as well as managing risk and control system to meet business objectives and promote corporate governance.
  •  Draft, review, negotiate, and comment on legal documentation and highlight to management the risks/exposures involved, possible breaches, and non-compliance under applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks associated with the operations.
  • Conduct intellectual property searches and analyses to identify potential infringement issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to protect the Company intellectual property rights.
  • Liaise with and manage external solicitors on legal matters including litigation, business disputes, intellectual property, contract negotiation and other matters assigned to external solicitors.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees to raise awareness about compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with the external company secretary in support of the handling of the full spectrum of corporate secretarial duties including the drafting and review of Board Papers, Circular Resolutions, Minutes of Board and etc.

Job Requirements

  • At least bachelor’s degree in business or management OR ICSA related qualification
  • At least 5 – 8 years’ experience
  • Preferable between 35 – 45 years old
  • Knowledge of Companies Act and Corporate Governance is a must.
  • Exposure in unionized environment will be added advantage.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, strong analytical skill, sound commercial acumen and strong understanding of corporate function and business operational matters.
