Recall Campaign Honda 500 and 650 Series
As a precautionary measure, Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. will be carrying out a recall campaign to replace the Reflex Reflector for affected Honda models. Due to some variances in the moulding process, the lens experienced distortion which resulted in insufficient light reflection efficiency.
The campaign is to ensure that our customers will continue to enjoy the product to its fullest intended purpose.

This campaign will begin from 28th June 2021
Which are the affected models?
Honda CBR650RAK, CB650RAK, CMX500AL, CB500XAM, CBR650RAM, CB650RAM, CBR500RAK and CB500FAK.
Which part is affected?
Reflex Reflector Set.
What are the defects?
Distortion in the reflector lens has caused insufficient light reflection efficiency
What are the hazards?
Insufficient light reflection efficiency.
Why is this recall necessary?
The recall plan is to ensure the compliance of Malaysia Regulations Standard and enable customer to enjoy the products to its fullest intended purpose.
What is the improvement action?
Replace affected part with new reflex reflector set.
How long does it take for part replacement?
It takes approximately twenty (20) minutes to replace the new part (the duration may vary based on mechanic’s availability).
How much does it cost?
This campaign is free of charge (FOC) for the affected units.
