Recall Campaign Honda CB250R-18 AUG
To valued Honda CB250R Owner’s & User, As a precautionary measure, Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. will be carrying out a recall campaign to replace the Right Crankcase Cover for affected Honda models due to Cone Plug failure that might cause severe leakage of engine oil.
The campaign is to ensure that our customers will continue to enjoy the product to its fullest intended purpose.
The affected Chassis Number are as follows:
MLHMC52AXJ5000651 ~ MLHMC52A4J5001018
Kindly refer to your vehicle registration card issued by JPJ as indicated in the picture below;

Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd.(BSH) will ensure that all units involved in this recall campaign will be thoroughly inspected and the affected parts will be replaced accordingly if necessary.

Why is this recall necessary?
It is a recall whereby customers’ safety might be at stake if this issue is not addressed immediately. If the defect occurs and the engine stalls while in motion, this poses an accident hazard to the rider and other road users.
What is the improvement action?
Replace the affected transmission gear with new countermeasure unit of mainshaft assy.
Where is the countermeasure mainshaft assy from?
Imported from International supplier.
How long does it take for the improvement action?
It takes approximately 7 hours to replace the mainshaft assy (The duration may vary based on each Dealer mechanic’s availability).
How much does it cost for the improvement action?
No cost needed for the replacement of affected mainshaft assy.
