As a precautionary measure, Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. will be carrying out a recall campaign to replace the Right Crankcase Cover for affected Honda models due to Cone Plug failure that might cause severe leakage of engine oil.
The campaign is to ensure that our customers will continue to enjoy the product to its fullest intended purpose.
The affected Chassis Number are as follows:
22/7/2022 ~ 3/8/2022
MLHMC5293P5100007 ~ MLHMC5295P5100008
Kindly refer to your vehicle registration card issued by JPJ as indicated in the picture below;

Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd.(BSH) will ensure that all units involved in this recall campaign will be thoroughly inspected and the affected parts will be replaced accordingly if necessary.

When does the safety measure recall campaign start?
This campaign will begin from 8th May 2023.
Which model was affected?
Honda CBF250NAP (CB250R).
Which part is affected?
Right Crankcase Cover.
What are the defect?
Right Crankcase Cover Cone Plug hole was painted, high temperature during engine operation will cause paint to soften eventually resulting in Cone Plug ejecting from the Crankcase
What are the hazard?
If Cone Plug is ejected from the Crankcase it will cause a severe engine oil leak.
Why is this recall necessary?
The recall plan is to ensure that the Right Crankcase Cover will not fail in the future.
What is the improvement action?
Replace affected part with new and improved Right Crankcase Cover.
How long does it take for part replacement?
It takes approximately one (1) hours and ten (10) minutes to replace the new part (the duration may vary based on technician availability).
How much does it cost?
This campaign is free of charge (FOC) for the affected units.
