Recall Campaign Honda CRF1000 & CRF1100
As a precautionary measure, Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. will be carrying out a recall campaign to replace Fuel Filter Kit for Honda CRF1000 and CRF1100. This campaign is to ensure that our customers will continue to enjoy the product to its fullest intended purpose.
The affected Chassis Number are as below:authorised BigWing dealers under the affected VIN Range as below:

Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. ensures that all affected units undergoing this campaign will be thoroughly checked with the affected parts replaced as the safety of the rider and the optimum performance of the motorcycle are our priority Zinc oxide generated by the tank seam welding process may have dislodged into the fuel tank, where it may be accumulating in the fuel pump’s suction filter. As a result, this may clog the filter and the engine may not accelerate smoothly or may stall.
When does the safety measure recall campaign start?
This campaign will starts from 18th January 2021.
Which model was affected?
Honda CRF1000 and CRF1100.
What is the affected part?
Fuel filter kit.
What are the defects?
During manufacturing of the fuel tank, the zinc oxide generated by the tank seam welding process may have dislodged, accumulating in the fuel pump’s suction filter. This may clog the filter and affect engine operation.
What are the hazards?
The engine may not accelerate smoothly and may stall.
Why is this recall necessary?
The recall plan is to ensure the safety of the rider and enjoy the products to its fullest intended purpose.
What is the improvement action?
Replace affected part with new fuel filter kit unit.
How long does it take for part replacement?
It takes approximately three (3) hours to replace the new part (the duration may vary based on mechanic’s availability).
How much does it cost for the improvement action?
This campaign is Free of charge for the affected units.
