This Recall is in respect of the Switch Assy/Magnetic Starter device. Due to the abnormal amount/excess amount of sealant being injected into the connector area of the Switch Assy/Magnetic Starter, the sealant becomes soft as a result of high volume of electricity current and this creates excessive gap within the affected part. The sealant adhering to the fuse terminal and the connector area at the back of the fuse would melt upon it being subjected to high voltage current and the increase in the gap from the contact resistance leads to higher heat temperature resulting in total part failure. This may lead to possible stalling of the engine, inability to re-start the engine or possible occurrence of smoke.
